Duluth.Art is a curated directory and discovery platform designed to showcase the artists and artwork of Duluth, Minnesota. Built from the ground up, the site provides a free and accessible way for local artists to create profiles, share their work, and connect with a wider audience.
I designed and developed Duluth.Art using Next.js, Supabase, and Webflow Devlink, ensuring a seamless experience with dynamic content, user authentication, and artist profile management. The platform allows artists to categorize their work by medium, add technique-specific details, and link to external storefronts like Etsy or Faire.
With an emphasis on community-driven discovery, Duluth.Art helps artists gain visibility while keeping the purchasing process decentralized. This ensures artists retain full control over their sales, while the platform remains an unbiased and non-commercial advocate for local art.
The project involved:
• Custom user authentication with role-based access control
• A structured database for artists, mediums, and techniques
• Dynamic artist and gallery pages that update in real-time
• SEO optimization to improve discoverability
• A clean, high-contrast UI that highlights artwork
Duluth.Art is an ongoing project, constantly evolving to better serve the creative community of Northern Minnesota.
